In 2020, the scrap metal hall of Scholz Rohstoffhandel GmbH in Floridsdorf had to be renovated due to regulatory requirements. Two options were weighed up against one another: renovating the scrap metal hall or building a completely new one altogether. The decision was to build a brand new one. A major advantage is the addition of new storage space and cutting areas. Construction began in September 2022. Due to supply difficulties in the area of superstructure, there were construction delays, and the originally planned completion date was postponed. It was therefore all the more gratifying to see the project successfully completed in March 2023.
